Get Involved
There are many ways you can get involved at the farm. Checkout some of the volunteer opportunities we have below:
Equine Session Support:
Prepare horses for sessions, sidewalk beside the rider during sessions, and/or lead horses during sessions. Volunteers start off as sidewalkers, but can easily move up to preparing horses for session, and then to leading horses during sessions. 1-2 years of horse experience is preferred and we ask volunteers commit to a consistent day/time each week of 2+ hours. Please note - the focus of our sessions is not riding, there will not be an opportunity for volunteers to ride the horses.
Art Assistant:
Help with set up and clean up, prep for classes. Assist children with supplies and give guidance while children are working on art projects.
Farm Garden:
Check gardens for weeds and watering when families are not available. Help clean chicken coop and run.
Farm Chores:
Help with cleaning pens, stalls, and pastures, tending to animals, cleaning out feed and water buckets, and other tasks around the farm as needed (ie: pasture maintenance, picking up sticks, weeding the grounds, dragging arena, etc).
Housekeeping:
General cleaning and laundry duties to prepare farmhouse before guests arrive and tidy up after they leave.
Internships:
During the summer months we also offer equine, art and nature internships for high school graduates.
All volunteers must be 14 or older. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below:
